Warsaw Lincoln Ambulance District
Plans for a New Warsaw Base.

During the December 17th City of Warsaw Board meeting, a real estate agreement between the City of Warsaw, Benton County, Warsaw Industrial Development Corporation and the Warsaw Lincoln Ambulance District was revealed. The ambulance board of directors and the administrator has worked with the named parties to secure a new building site for the Warsaw Lincoln Ambulance District base. In the December 20th Warsaw Lincoln Ambulance District Board meeting Warsaw Mayor Ken Brown and City Administrator Randy Pogue met with the district board and signed the finalized contract agreement for the property.  The district is very excited to have this opportunity to expand and stay in the city limits of Warsaw.
The new facility will be located in the industrial park just north of the water tower behind and to the north of the E-911 Building along with a new road to access both facilities.

This opportunity would not be possible if it were not for the support from the residents of this ambulance district and the City of Warsaw.

When I was hired to be the administrator of the ambulance district in 2004 I knew it would not be long before we would out grow the existing building, even with the expansion to Lincoln.
In 2005 we were faced with over crowding going from 9 employees to 18 to today’s 20 full time employees and 4 part time employees. Knowing the immediate problem the district board decided to lease office space for the administrative personnel to create two new bedrooms in the Warsaw base until the district funds would allow expansion and the new facility could house the administrative offices again.

Benton County being the ninth fastest growing county in Missouri, with the calls for service in 2001 totaling 1,406 having increased to 2,331 to date in 2007.

Not only is it important to have a place for the ambulances and employees, we also have educational needs. We hope to have the funds to build a facility that will have the space to train and hold more classes not just for the employees but also community educational classes.

The district has just started planning for the new Warsaw Ambulance Base. We will keep everyone informed as we progress forward.
